Texas Environmental Agency Set to Implement Computer Take-Back Law

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is set to begin implementing the new Texas computer "take-back" law.  The TCEQ has promulgated regulations to require computer manufacturers to take back and recycle the computers from home and consumer use.  The Texas Legislature passed a bill requiring computer recycling by the manufacturers. The TCEQ provides a program description.  The implemeting regulations provide more details on the requirements imposed on computer manufacturers.
